This locomotive was originally built in the mid-1920s by Baldwin as a 2-8-0. It was rebuilt in the Reading Shops as a 4-8-4 Northern in 1947. Weighing 441,300 lbs., Reading Company 2124 has 70" drivers and 27" x 32" cylinders. The locomotive is on display at Steamtown, Scranton, Pennsylvania. |
