A&WP 290 was built by Lima Locomotive Works in 1926. This heavy Pacific has 73" drivers and 27" x 28" cylinders. It weighs 303,500 lbs. This is the locomotive that appeared in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. It is now under restoration at the Southeastern Railway Museum, Duluth, Georgia. |
