C&NW 444 was built in ALCO's Schenectedy plant in 1906. The 165,000 lb. ten-wheeler (4-6-0) has 63" drivers and 21" x 26" cylinders. The locomotive is on display at the Forney Transportation Museum in Denver, Colorado. As is often the case, the locomotive is housed in tight quarters where it is difficult to get a good photograph. | |
