Canadian Pacific Railway 2929 has an unusual 4-4-4 wheel configuration, one I have not seen before. Housed at Steamtown in Scranton, Pennsylvania, 2929 was built by the Canadian Locomotive Co. in 1938. It has 75" drivers and 16.5" x 28" cylinders. and it weighs 120 tons. Apparently a five-car train set designed to be pulled by this class of passenger engine is on display at the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel in Cranbrook, British Columbia. |
