Prarie & Western 3 (4-4-0)

This locomotive was built about 1967 by the Crown Metal Products near Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, for the Prarie & Western Railroad, an amusement park railroad in Davie, Florida. 21 of these 25 ton, 36" gauge locomotives were built before the company went out of business in the mid to late 1980s. These locomotives have drivers of about 45", and those built in the 1960s (like this one) have 9" x 16" cylinders. P&W 3 is on display at the Huntsville Depot Museum, Huntsville, Alabama.
