The class K-28 (2-8-2 Mikado type, tractive power approximately 28,000 lbs.) D&RGW 476 was built in 1923 by ALCO. It has 44" drivers and 18" x 22" cylinders, and it weighs 113,500 lbs. over the drivers. The narrow gauge locomotive is on display at the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum, Durango, Colorado. It is difficult to photograph because of the tight space and low light.
