This 62 ton Mogul (2-6-0) was built by Baldwin in 1926. It has 56" drivers and 19" x 26" cylinders. This was one of the last Moguls built for domestic service, and it is smaller than many of the earlier mainline Moguls. It has a distinctive Vanderbilt tender, shown here behind a different locomotive. GN&A 29 was in the shops at the Illinois Railroad Museum, Union, Illinois in September 2004 when these photos were taken. | |
