West Side Lumber 10 (Shay Class C)

Built by Lima Locomotive Works in 1928, West Side Lumber 10 is now operating on the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad in Fish Camp, California. It runs over track that originally belonged to Madera Sugar Pine Lumber Company. This 3-truck Shay has 34" drivers and 12" x 15" cylinders. It weighs 163,200 pounds and burns oil.
A water pump installed on the left front running board was used to fill the tender when a water tower was not available.
