Pennsylvania Railroad 5741 (4-6-0)


PRR 5741, a class G5s Tenwheeler, was built in the Pennsylvania Railroad's Altoona shops in 1924. The locomotive has 68" drivers and 24" x 28" cylinders. It has piston valves and Walschaerts valve gear. The engine weighs 212,000 lbs. empty, and the combined length of the engine and tender is 70' 5-1/2". The 5741 is housed at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, Strasburg, Pennsylvania.
