East Tennesee & Western North Carolina RR 12 (4-6-0)

ET&WNC 12 is a 98,800 lb. narrow-gauge (36") ten-wheeler (4-6-0) built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1917. It has 45" drivers and 16" x 22" cylinders. Garden railroaders may recognize this as the prototype for the popular Bachmann Big Hauler and "Annie" (10th Anniversary edition.) The locomotive was pulling a special consisting of ET&WNC passenger car 5 at the Tweetsie Railroad, Blowing Rock, North Carolina, on August 27, 2005, during their first annual railfan days. The next day, it was double-heading with White Pass & Yukon 190, a Mikado (2-8-2) that usually pulls the trains at Tweetsie.
