Southern Pacific 5021 (4-10-2)


SP 5021 was built at the Schenectedy Works of Alco in 1926. It has 63-1/2" drivers. This unusual locomotive has three cylinders. The two outside cylinders are 25" x 32", while the third inside booster cylinder is 25" x 28". The locomotive weighs 395,700 lbs. The locomotive is in the collection of the Southern California Chapter of the Railway and Locomotive Historical Society at the Los Angeles County Fairplex, Pomona, California.
