Built in 1919 by Baldwin, L&A 99 is a 156,400 lb. oil-burner. It has 50" drivers and 20" x 26" cylinders. It is on display at the Illinois Railroad Musuem, Union, Illinois. The close quarters make it difficult to get a good photograph. Obviously, the image on the left is a composite of two photos. |
